As one of Australia’s most iconic retailers, David Jones curates world-class brands with a rich history of innovation. The Logistics Manager role empowers effective management of in-store fulfilment, inbound and outbound inventory, stock loss processes, WHS compliance and people leadership.

You will oversee goods inbound and outbound processes including receiving, ticketing and security tagging while maintaining dock and reserve areas. Daily work includes preparing for high-volume deliveries, rotating tasks across the team and investigating stock variances from store reports.

The position requires building strong relationships with store teams and external stakeholders to keep merchandise available for customers. You will promote waste management practices and uphold WHS standards specific to logistics operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

  • Empower team members to ensure goods inbound and outbound processes including receiving, ticketing and security tagging remain seamless and within timeframes
  • Maintain the dock and reserve drop-off areas in an organised state
  • Prepare for deliveries and high intake of goods while ensuring task rotation amongst the Logistics team
  • Assess and action store reports while investigating stock variances
  • Complete all tasks associated with the Stock Loss Management process
  • Promote effective waste management practices across the logistics function
  • Uphold effective WHS practices relating to logistics operations
  • Inspire and develop the Logistics team to build individual capability
