About this role

Responsible for the accurate storing, shipping and receiving of product to meet company standards of safety, security and productivity. Operates machinery for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Applies considerable warehouse knowledge under limited supervision.

Reviews orders for shipment, pulls and prepares product ensuring the exact number and type is loaded. Performs picking duties efficiently adhering to Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Manages records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security. Operates materials handling equipment safely according to proper procedures. Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.

Provides guidance, training and mentoring to new and existing team members on SOP’s and safety regulations. Assists junior staff with complex tasks and acts as back-up during absences. Escalates issues to supervisor and assists with various projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Considerable warehouse knowledge to perform broad range of tasks
  • Ability to operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently
  • Familiarity with Distribution SOP’s, GMP, OSHA, and MSDS standards
  • Proficiency with radio frequency equipment for picking and receiving
  • Skill in maintaining tight inventory control and stock rotation
  • Capability to ensure shipments are accurate and damage-free
  • Experience assisting in physical inventories and security maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, store, and prepare shipments under limited supervision
  • Review orders, pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOP’s and GMP standards
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
  • Manage records and reports for inventory control, assist in physical inventories, and ensure proper stock rotation
  • Operate materials handling equipment safely and efficiently according to proper procedures
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area complying with OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members on SOP’s and safety regulations
  • Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and other functions
