About this role
Little Words Project is looking for a Temporary Picker Packer for our warehouse in Mountainside, NJ. The Picker Packer is responsible for ensuring accurate order picking, packaging, and preparation for shipment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are key.
Daily duties involve accurately locating, retrieving, and verifying items based on order specifications. Apply shipping labels, prepare packages per carrier requirements, and conduct final inspections for completeness and accuracy. Assist with inbound/outbound shipping and ensure timely order processing.
Report missing, incorrect, or damaged items promptly to supervisors while monitoring stock levels for discrepancies. Participate in inventory organization, replenishment, and regular cycle counts. Adhere to safety protocols, proper handling procedures, and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
This temporary role from October to December requires availability during blackout periods from mid-November through December 20th. Work involves standing and walking for extended periods in a dynamic warehouse setting. Contribute to efficient holiday season operations with strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or e-commerce logistics environment (a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to lift and move packages as needed (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners (a plus)
- Must be available during blackout periods including mid-November through December 20th
Responsibilities
