About this role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager at Vertiv India leads material strategies for EMS, ODM, and Electronics/Electrical commodities, ensuring alignment with Global Procurement and business units. The role focuses on supply chain optimization, including material productivity, inventory turnover, lead time reduction, and supplier development. This enhances financial performance and customer delivery.

Supports plants with material shortages, oversees supplier compliance with trade and ESG regulations, and drives system tool implementation. Develops and executes sourcing strategies aligned with business goals. Manages supplier relationships to optimize quality, cost, and delivery.

Leads cross-functional teams for supply chain improvements and efficiency. Reports to the Sr. Manager Procurement India Electronics. Handles key commodities like EMS/Electronics/Contract manufacturing of Rack UPS and other local/Import Electronics/Electrical.

Drives localization efforts and procurement strategies for EMS/electronics. Tracks and optimizes supply chain performance, ensuring on-time delivery. Conducts market analysis and implements cost-saving initiatives, contributing to Vertiv India’s overall success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • 8–10 years of experience in procurement or engineering projects in EMS/electronics
  • Experience with China and Indian EMS suppliers
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and collaboration tools
  • Certified Project Manager preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, forecast completion timelines and lead teams
  • Fluent in English; ability to read engineering documents in Chinese
