About this role

Could you be the full-time Commodity Buyer Couplers & Gangways in Cluj-Napoca? You'll report to Titus ARDEVAN, Domains Operations Manager, Cluj-Napoca.

Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic procurement expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll deploy procurement strategies across your commodity, secure demand and develop suppliers. Day-to-day, work closely with teams in procurement, supply chain, engineering, quality & production ensuring project execution in line with QCDT objectives.

You'll specifically take care of global supplier panel relationships including supplier workload, negotiation, specific agreements, local supplier quality, cost & time delivery performances. Consolidate commodity needs and inputs across all regions. Work alongside dedicated Commodity Leads and Commodity Managers in global domains categories.

Lead commodity commitments according to defined strategy on your scope. Animate teamwork with internal and external stakeholders for effective problem solving. Apply the Alstom Transport Sourcing process and provide return on experience.

Requirements

  • Strategic procurement expertise
  • Experience managing global supplier panel relationships
  • Knowledge of supplier negotiation and specific agreements
  • Familiarity with monitoring supplier QCDT performances
  • Ability to consolidate commodity needs across regions
  • Skills in RFQ preparation, launch and project negotiation
  • Understanding of sourcing processes in transportation industry
  • Proficiency in coordinating with engineering, quality and production teams

Responsibilities

  • Support global supplier panel relationships through periodic reviews
  • Manage specific supplier panel relationships including negotiation, specific agreements and local supplier QCDT performances
  • Monitor day-to-day supplier performances and issues
  • Handle initial issues before escalation to line manager
  • Actively participate in commodity strategy on scope
  • Lead commodity commitments and pilot negotiations with panel suppliers during tender phase
  • Coordinate projects with all Metiers for supplier selection and development
  • Prepare and launch Request For Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers and lead negotiations to award
