Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives within our supply chain and logistics operations. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in strategic procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of achieving cost savings
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven sourcing decisions
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
- Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and risk management practices
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect materials across multiple categories
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts to achieve cost reduction and performance targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and innovation
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to inform procurement strategies and mitigate disruptions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and align procurement activities with business goals
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, including supplier evaluation and performance metrics
- Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives
