It supports licensed Customs Brokers with entry documentation, tariff classification, and coordination with government agencies.

Daily tasks include preparing high-volume land border customs entries through ACE in compliance with CBP regulations. Verify accuracy of Customs Entry Summary details like HTSUS number, country of origin, and duty rates. Process truck and FAST lane entries while reviewing invoices and documents for compliance.

Based in El Paso, TX, work in a fast-paced, high-volume border environment meeting strict deadlines for same-day clearances. Monitor CBP holds, secondary inspections, and respond to discrepancies with port personnel. Handle shipments for PGAs including FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, and DOT.

Collaborate in a global community of people from 100+ countries where diverse perspectives drive innovation. Identify compliance risks and escalate to Licensed Customs Brokers. Grow together while maintaining records and supporting trusted trader programs like C-TPAT and FAST.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 1 year import/export experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Fluent in English and Spanish written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations
  • Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) and ACE portal
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced border environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and transmit high-volume land border customs entries (01, 03) through ACE in compliance with CBP regulations
  • Verify accuracy of Customs Entry Summary (CF 7501) including HTSUS number, description, country of origin, duty rate, and entered value
  • Process truck and FAST lane entries ensuring timely clearance to minimize border delays
  • Accurately classify imported merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS)
  • Review commercial invoices, packing lists, transportation documents, and ACE data for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor and respond to CBP holds, secondary inspections, and X-ray examinations
  • Process shipments subject to Participating Government Agency (PGA) requirements including FDA, USDA, EPA, FCC, and DOT
  • Assist with post-entry corrections, amendments, and compliance reviews
