About this role

The Warehouse Worker I will directly impact quality and food safety for products at The Wine Group, a leading producer of award-winning wines and alcoholic beverages across 120+ brands. This role involves special projects, labeling, housekeeping, and other tasks supporting customer and business requirements.

Daily responsibilities include operating machinery and equipment safely, conducting housekeeping and groundskeeping, and executing best-in-class warehouse and material handling operations. Workers must differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable product and take action to quarantine nonconforming items.

The role requires teamwork across all shifts to meet departmental goals and metrics, assisting with dunnage, air-bagging, and slip-sheeting as needed. Ideal candidates are flexible to work day, swing, and graveyard shifts in a fast-paced, changing environment.

With appropriate training, workers operate various warehouse and industrial equipment and maintain certification. They actively participate in safety activities, continuous improvement, and small-team problem solving to support operational excellence. This position offers a foundation for growth within a global innovator in wine production.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be able to pass all applicable testing.
  • 2+ years of general labor work involving consistent heavy lifting preferred.
  • Experience in a warehouse, sorting, and/or operating powered pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Must be flexible to work all 3 shifts (day, swing, and graveyard).
  • Ability to train another team member in routine work responsibilities according to standard operating procedure.

Responsibilities

  • Support and execute best-in-class warehouse, material handling, and inventory management operations.
  • Operate all machinery and equipment safely to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Conduct special projects such as rework, reclaim, recoup, and repack to support customer requirements.
  • Differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable product; quarantine and rectify nonconforming items.
  • Assist with dunnage, air-bagging, and slip-sheeting to maintain efficient operations.
  • Use computers, scan guns, and other warehouse technology to conduct operations.
  • Actively participate in safety activities, continuous improvement, and small-team problem solving.
