About this role
This position oversees daily supply chain activities in the Ackerman Warehouse, including forecasting, requisitioning, inventory control, and implant/consignment management while utilizing lean supply chain practices. It ensures accurate supplies are ordered and shipped to health system areas. The role implements and maintains new supplies in the system.
Manage case picking of supplies and collaborate with supply chain and clinical staff to maintain accuracy. Receive and put away supplies in racks, managing first in-first out (FIFO) workflow. Operate heavy equipment including forklift, wave picker, manual and powered pallet jacks.
Communicate with clinical and supply chain staff, and vendors regarding supply chain issues like expiration tracking, cycle counting, annual physical inventory, Lum picking, product trials, conversions, discontinuations, and storage location flow. Ensure accreditation and audit processes meet current standards. Proactively monitor and resolve charge capture errors to prevent shortages and stockouts.
Work with clinical and supply chain staff to investigate new items and equipment. Provide data analysis related to cost savings, volume, and other metrics. The role supports overall organization and efficiency in a healthcare warehouse environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two years of inventory management experience
- Knowledge of lean supply chain practices
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklift, wave picker, and pallet jacks
- Experience with FIFO workflow and rack storage
- Familiarity with implant and consignment management
- Skills in cycle counting, expiration tracking, and physical inventory
- Proficiency in data analysis for cost savings and volume metrics
