This role ensures resilient, compliant, sovereign supply chains for physical systems and AI technologies.

You will manage key contractors for delivery timelines and quality, lead end-to-end procurement of specialised hardware like hydrophones, and establish rigorous processes for audit readiness and defence standards. Optimise SAP (S4 HANA) for data entry, reporting, and procurement. Develop a 2027 roadmap to increase UK-based suppliers for regional resilience.

Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to translate requirements into sourcing strategies with cost and lead-time benefits. Identify supply chain bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies. Your impact measures by supplier network robustness and regulatory readiness as we expand.

Requirements

Successfully managed complex supply chains or procurement in high-technology or regulated industries
Deep competency in SAP (S4 HANA) for procurement workflows and data integrity
Built and implemented operational processes that passed formal audits
Managed external contractors and vendors to achieve technical and commercial outcomes
Sourced specialised hardware or components navigating quality and logistics challenges
Clear professional communicator mapping strategic goals for supplier diversity and growth
