In this role, you will receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products. You'll read production schedules and customer orders to determine items to be moved, and convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and warehouse best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders to determine items to be moved or distributed.
  • Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Place materials and goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions and work orders for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information and open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed and weigh or count items to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Use computer to enter records and compile worksheets.
