About this role

The Supply Chain Manager develops and monitors the facility supply chain strategy. This role works to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material. Responsibilities include managing raw material inventory and purchasing finished goods, factory supplies, and other items that require purchase orders.

Complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner with follow-up inquiries to ensure production schedules meet customer service requirements. Develop and execute monthly production plans, place orders in assigned plants, and track/expedite orders to meet demand. Monitor timeliness of Plant/Distribution and Shipping Center shipments while maximizing plant efficiency through finite scheduling.

Work with operations, DSCs, and vendors to ensure service and cost goals are met. Develop programs and production reporting systems to track critical metrics for the location. Assist in planning redeployment of existing inventories to rebalance to current demand.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Have at least five (5) years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations role
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt (preferred)
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams (preferred)
  • Have prior work experience using MRP (Material Resource Planning) and MPS (Material Production Scheduling) systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a total systems materials management program at the plant
  • Maintain responsiveness to production requirements to obtain the best possible quality and price
  • Manage finished goods inventories at all locations to meet or exceed service goals
  • Develop and execute monthly production plans
  • Place orders in assigned plants
  • Track and expedite orders to precisely meet demand while maximizing plant efficiency through finite scheduling
  • Monitor timeliness of Plant/Distribution and Shipping Center shipments
  • Work with operations, DSCs, and vendors to ensure service and cost goals are met
