Under the guidance of the Regional Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Coordinator manages day-to-day planning, procurement, and receiving functions for direct materials, small equipment, and special-order requests at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center - Racine. This part-time role ensures materials are stocked when needed across Ethos Veterinary Health hospitals. It focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing supply chain processes.

Daily tasks include establishing product par levels, monitoring inventory, reconciling packing slips with purchase orders, and coordinating shipping and receiving schedules for timely deliveries. The coordinator organizes the storeroom, places weekly orders, manages safety stock, and resolves discrepancies in purchasing and invoices. Weekly cycle counts and physical audits support inventory control.

Develop strong vendor relationships, collaborate with the regional supply chain team, and identify process improvements. Assist in creating purchasing and inventory policies to maximize effectiveness. Attend scheduled meetings and handle other duties to support hospital operations.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required, Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 2 years’ professional experience in purchasing and inventory management
  • Medical or veterinary purchasing experience preferred
  • Occasional travel to all Ethos hospitals within assigned region
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted, sit/stand, reach, and bend as needed
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Excel and Word

Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor product par levels to ensure materials are in stock when needed
  • Monitor, maintain, and verify inventory accuracy, track lead times, and maintain safety stock
  • Reconcile packing slips and purchase orders for invoice validation
  • Comply with all purchasing contracts and source with approved suppliers for competitive pricing
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Manage safety stock levels, slow moving inventory, and expired products to optimize inventory turns
  • Organize storeroom and place orders weekly to keep the hospital adequately stocked
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and assist with mid-year and year-end physical inventory audits
