Moog’s Turreted Weapons System business in the UK (TWS-UK) seeks a Strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead high-impact sourcing initiatives across the supply chain.
In this role, you will own the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies, drive long-term supplier partnerships, and negotiate complex agreements. You will influence stakeholders at all levels to deliver strong business results while providing strategic vision for supply chain design including redundancy and scalability.
Work in a hybrid schedule from Tewkesbury, UK, reporting to the UK Business Unit Manager. Lead cross-functional capabilities, facilitate supplier engagement sessions, and conduct global market research to identify competitive suppliers. Influence cross-functional stakeholders to align requirements and mitigate risks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in the fields of supply chain, production engineering or project management and preferable experience of operations
- Strong negotiation skills and working knowledge of procurement and contractual law
- Excellent understanding of contractual requirements, business systems, and supply chain processes
- Determined, resilient and able to be courageous in their pursuit of establishing a new function appropriate to the BU requirement
- Innovation or other early-stage business creation experience where a frontier mentality and ability to work with basic requirements are turned into a strategic vision
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic vision and lead the design and delivery of the TWS-UK supply chains including redundancy, scalability, and cross-functional capabilities
- Execute the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including strategy development, supplier identification and evaluation, spend and market analysis, and negotiation of long-term agreements
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including performance trends and opportunities to strengthen the supply chain
- Conduct global market research to identify competitive, capable, and sustainable suppliers that enhance business value and support diversity initiatives
- Run RFQs and assess supplier capabilities, risk, cost structure, and service models with a focus on total cost of ownership
- Lead all site and cross-site TWS-UK supply chain activities
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships that enhance capability, cost competitiveness, and long-term business advantage
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and contractual obligations
