About this role

Under limited supervision, this role assumes full buying responsibility for selected categories, including price negotiation, planning, production, and inventory control. This position sits within the Atlanta-based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

Enables brands to efficiently and effectively maximize supplier value by conducting RFP processes, bid analysis, contract negotiations, and creating blanket purchase agreements. The role also involves developing and executing purchasing strategies while monitoring macro trends in the supplier base.

Identifies and realizes cost-savings opportunities through margin initiatives and business case development. Minimizes supply disruption risk by analyzing information to assess root cause and improvement opportunities, then developing solutions with stakeholder consensus.

Builds strategic relationships with supplier working teams and internal Brand Core Teams to understand needs and meet them effectively. Monitors purchasing performance through S&OP participation and supplier scorecards, and contributes to a high-performing team by mentoring less experienced procurement members.

Requirements

  • 4-Year degree in a related field
  • 5+ years in supply chain and procurement
  • Experience in procurement and negotiation strategies
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment
  • Proven track record of success in leadership positions
  • Restaurant / Food Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Assumes full buying responsibility for selected categories, including price negotiation, planning, production, and inventory control.
  • Ensures all legal documents are in place for each supplier, including NDA, Master Supplier Agreement, and Product Agreements.
  • Conducts the RFP process, bid analysis and review, contract negotiations, and blanket purchase agreement creation.
  • Develops and executes purchasing strategies for products, monitoring macro trends in the supplier base.
  • Identifies and realizes cost-savings opportunities within owned categories through margin initiatives and business case development.
  • Minimizes risk of supply disruption by analyzing supplier issues, assessing root cause, and developing solutions.
  • Builds strategic relationships with supplier working teams and internal Brand Core Teams to understand and meet brand needs.
  • Monitors supplier performance and completes supplier scorecard; mentors less experienced procurement team members.
