About this role

AFRY is a leading European engineering and consulting company driving change towards a sustainable society. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our Industry division's procurement team to coordinate and execute procurement for clients' industrial investment projects.

Your core tasks include developing procurement strategies and plans, leading project procurement with teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors, managing bidding for equipment and services, preparing and managing contracts, and overseeing delivery monitoring. The work is versatile and varies with project phases.

Our procurement team consists of managers and engineers central to clients' industrial investment projects. Your work may include procurement coordination, contract negotiations, contract management, or ensuring timely deliveries. This provides broad exposure to client projects and diverse assignments.

Requirements

  • Applicable technical or commercial university degree
  • At least 5+ years of experience in procurement in industrial projects
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Fluent Finnish and English language skills
  • Must meet security clearance requirements for classified projects

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies and plans based on project requirements
  • Plan and lead project procurement in close collaboration with project teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors
  • Conduct competitive bidding for equipment and services
  • Prepare and manage contracts on behalf of clients
  • Oversee delivery monitoring
  • Participate in contract negotiations
  • Ensure timely deliveries
