Huawei, a leading global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its team in Düsseldorf. This role focuses on managing logistics for grid-forming Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) containers, ensuring seamless delivery to project sites.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting bidding processes based on demand forecasts, cooperating with the procurement manager to secure suppliers in a timely manner. You will also manage road permit applications and road surveys with Huawei's logistics service provider to ensure compliant transportation.

You will plan and oversee deliveries based on supply manager demand, monitor en-route shipments, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve any logistical issues. The role sits within a fast-paced, multinational environment at one of the fastest growing telecommunication companies globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, preferred with project experience
  • First experience in logistics, inbound/outbound operation management, inventory management, or transportation management
  • Know-how in freight forwarding, distribution, and warehousing
  • Experience with inventory/shipping systems and scanning tools desired
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Valid driver license mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Manage bidding of grid-forming BESS containers based on forecast of demand, cooperating with the procurement manager to finish bidding in time
  • Manage road permit applications and road surveys for BESS containers with Huawei's logistics service provider
  • Manage the deliver-to-site plan based on supply manager demand
  • Monitor en-route delivery to ensure timely arrival
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply teams to align inventory and transportation schedules
  • Evaluate and select optimal routes for heavy BESS container transport while ensuring regulatory compliance
