About this role
This role supports global inventory management, logistics operations, and supply chain performance through data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration. The analyst works closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, and Logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and improve material flow.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring finished goods, raw materials, and work-in-process inventory across global sites. The analyst uses Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and ERP tools to analyze trends, identify aging or excess inventory, and support inventory reduction initiatives. They also perform reconciliations, coordinate cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to implement corrective actions.
The role involves facilitating recurring inventory review meetings with manufacturing sites and cross-functional stakeholders. The analyst partners with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Purchasing, and Global Sourcing to provide data-driven recommendations on forecast accuracy, safety stock levels, and material management strategies.
This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse teams across the global supply chain, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The analyst will develop dashboards and reports that drive operational performance, while supporting compliance and regulatory requirements in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, Excel, Power Query, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization
- Experience with inventory management, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy investigation
- Ability to analyze inventory trends and identify aging, excess, obsolete, and high-risk inventory
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, including inbound/outbound transportation and warehouse activities
- Experience coordinating cross-functional inventory review meetings and documenting action plans
- Knowledge of inventory performance metrics such as Days on Hand (DOH) and inventory turns
- Ability to prepare concise summaries, presentations, and KPI reports for operational performance reviews
Responsibilities
- Monitor finished goods, raw materials, and work-in-process inventory across global manufacturing and distribution sites
- Analyze inventory trends using Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and ERP-based reporting tools to identify aging, excess, obsolete, high-risk, and high-value inventory
- Support achievement of inventory targets including Days on Hand (DOH), inventory turns, and inventory reduction initiatives
- Perform inventory reconciliations and validate inventory-related transactions within ERP systems
- Execute and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs for finished goods, components, and raw materials
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and partner with Operations, Planning, and Warehouse teams to implement corrective actions
- Coordinate and facilitate recurring inventory review meetings with manufacturing sites and cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop, maintain, and enhance inventory dashboards, reports, and analytical tools using SAP, Excel, Power Query, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI
