About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) to drive sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value across cost, quality, and supplier performance. In this fully remote role, you will lead end-to-end source-to-contract processes and manage complex spend categories including Operations, Logistics, and Corporate Functions.

You will negotiate favorable agreements, strengthen supplier partnerships, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs. Day-to-day, you will design and manage RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs using sourcing platforms, and analyze large spend datasets to uncover cost-saving opportunities.

Beyond category management, you will design and implement programs that enhance cross-departmental analytics, enabling smarter business decisions. You will act as a trusted advisor to business partners, presenting business cases and cost-benefit analyses that drive buy-in and adoption.

This role is a prominent component to advancing iHerb’s mission of making health and wellness accessible worldwide. Core working hours are aligned to the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone, offering flexibility within a remote-first environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management, particularly for indirect spend categories such as operations, logistics, and corporate functions.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including drafting SOWs, SLAs, and commercial terms in collaboration with Legal.
  • Ability to analyze complex spend data and drive cost savings using data-driven insights and sourcing platforms.
  • Experience designing and managing RFx processes (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and evaluating supplier proposals.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to present business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Knowledge of market trends, supplier innovations, and industry best practices in supply chain and logistics.
  • Proficiency in spend analytics and data enrichment to support decision-making and value delivery.
  • Ability to work core hours aligned to Pacific Standard Time (PST) in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories of goods and services.
  • Design and manage RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs using sourcing platforms, partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and evaluate proposals.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead end-to-end negotiation processes to secure enterprise-wide agreements that optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal business partners by aligning sourcing strategies with operational needs and presenting business cases.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and emerging opportunities to maintain up-to-date category knowledge.
  • Analyze large and complex spend datasets to uncover cost-saving opportunities and support data enrichment for actionable spend intelligence.
  • Quantify baseline costs, negotiation outcomes, and overall financial impact of sourcing activities, reporting measurable savings and process improvements.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate supplier relationships to ensure performance and drive continuous improvement.
