About this role

Air Liquide is currently searching for a dedicated Driver to join our Energas team in Marston Green, Birmingham. Your primary mission is to operate our heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently.

In this role, you will execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring our engineering equipment reaches company depots across the country on schedule. You will maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order.

You will be a key part of the Energas team, which for over 60 years has provided the best industrial gas supply and service to British industry. We pride ourselves on offering a responsive, high quality and local service.

Requirements

  • Minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a full, clean driving record
  • Valid Driver’s CPC Card
  • Valid ADR qualification is desired but not essential
  • Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and strong geographical knowledge of the local and regional areas
  • Good standard of health and fitness for manual handling of equipment, with willingness to undergo a company medical if requested
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate logging and reporting
  • FLT Licence is an advantage but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach company depots on schedule
  • Operate heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently
  • Maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order
  • Ensure your assigned vehicle is kept clean and manage its upkeep
  • Manage essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while ensuring all work hours align with WTD regulations
  • Obtain signatures, collect payments if required, and maintain a high standard of customer service when dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritise the well-being of staff, customers, and the public by strictly adhering to our Health and Environment policies and our 12 Life-Saving Rules
