About this role

This role is responsible for managing sourcing categories within the furniture and home products sector, working closely with the Sourcing Director and Senior Sourcing Manager to achieve company financial goals. The Sourcing Manager will evaluate vendor financial feasibility and identify potential risks to ensure a stable supply chain.

Day-to-day responsibilities include securing lower-cost options for the Merchandising team through effective negotiation and value improvement initiatives. The role also involves evaluating factory production capabilities to ensure they meet output and quality requirements, taking proactive action on identified risks.

The Sourcing Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and Vietnam offices to solve business problems and ensure flawless program execution. This includes managing new awarded, new transited, and routine business to guarantee on-time shipment.

This position offers the opportunity to bring industry product and manufacturing insights to the Merchandising team, strengthening vendor capabilities to achieve great products at lower costs. The role is ideal for a professional with strong supplier development experience and a deep understanding of global sourcing practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in business or other profession in related fields
7+ years of relevant industry experience related to the retail market
3+ years of managerial experience
Experience in International Business, Sourcing and Merchandising
Knowledge of manufacturing process and import sourcing practices / procedures
Knowledge of global supplier base and strong supplier development experience
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong oral and written communication skills with fluency in English and predominate local language(s)

Responsibilities

Assist Sourcing Director / Senior Sourcing Manager to achieve total company financial goals
Understand vendor/factory organizational structure and financial feasibility, identifying potential financial risks
Support SD / SSM to develop and strengthen vendor capabilities for great product and lower cost
Secure lower cost options for Merchandising team through effective negotiation and value improvement initiatives
Bring industry product/manufacturing insights and innovative product offers to Merchandising team
Evaluate factory production to ensure they meet requirements for production output and quality
Take proactive actions based on potential risk identified, working with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time shipment
Complete work assignments to meet deadlines, collaborating with cross-functional teams and Vietnam offices to solve business problems
