About this role

The Supply Chain Analyst coordinates shipping and receiving of raw materials to North American Bunge plants and tropical oils customers. This position ensures continuous supply by working across multiple internal teams. The focus remains on maintaining efficient tropical oils operations throughout the region.

Daily tasks include tracking inbound vessel shipments from overseas with commodity teams and vessel vendors. Inventory levels at US and Canadian facilities require constant monitoring. The role also manages the US barge fleet along with rail transportation assets.

Collaboration occurs with production scheduling to arrange barge, rail, and truck shipments. Detailed weekly inventory and supply plans support operations team meetings. Third-party providers handle transportation while surveyors receive direction on performance and invoicing.

Opportunities exist to oversee inventory disposition at storage facilities and verify physical inventory accuracy. The position involves logging shipments in SAP and other databases while re-routing freight to minimize costs when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Logistics and Transportation or Supply Chain Management, Operations
  • Excel proficiency, pivot table proficiency
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate work with other departments
  • Critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor inbound vessel shipments from overseas in coordination with commodity department and vessel vendors.
  • Monitor inventory levels at various US and Canadian facilities.
  • Manage and track US barge fleet and rail fleet.
  • Monitor and manage status and operational condition of barges including repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Work with production scheduling to arrange barge, rail, and truck shipments to Bunge plants.
  • Provide detailed weekly inventory and supply plans to operations team.
  • Create deployment plans for transportation of raw material from suppliers using third party providers.
  • Log inbound shipments in Excel, Access inventory model, and SAP.
