Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner for market-leading brands, is adding a Supply Chain Analyst in Batam, Indonesia. This role supports teams that design, build, and deliver innovative products improving the world.

A typical day involves managing regional supplier contract negotiations including Memorandums of Comprehension and pricing agreements. You will measure Purchase Price Variance, monitor supplier times, and mitigate shortages to optimize material flow.

You will participate on global and regional commodity teams, contributing data for supplier scorecards and driving initiatives to improve gross material margin. This collaborative environment requires working with cross-functional groups to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain design/management.
  • Must have an understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends, and technologies.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing and thorough understanding of OEM product development process.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, or customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage regional supplier contract negotiations including Memorandums of Comprehension, non-disclosure, and regional pricing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Measure and report Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and initiate action plans.
  • Monitor and manage supplier times.
  • Mitigate shortages, excess on order, and excess on hand.
  • Participate on global and regional commodity teams.
  • Drive initiatives to improve gross material margin.
  • Coordinate quarterly/monthly PPV hardcall process.
