About this role

As a Home Delivery Driver for Ashley Canada, you will provide our guests with a premium experience loading and unloading product into their homes. This role is based at our Surrey Distribution Centre and is critical to ensuring orders are properly fulfilled.

Day-to-day, you will assist with loading and unloading products, conduct pre and post trip audits, and ensure all product is wrapped securely in the delivery vehicle. You will safely and efficiently drive scheduled routes while keeping to scheduling and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent skills and experience
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license held for at least 1 year with a clean Driver Abstract (with air a plus)
  • 6 months to 1 year of Delivery Driver experience
  • Experience with hand tools is an asset
  • Ability to operate varying equipment (load securement, blankets, straps, etc.)
  • Good physical condition with stamina to lift at least 50 – 100 pounds
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Criminal Record Check is required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and unloading products into the company’s delivery vehicles
  • Conduct pre and post trip audits to meet safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure all product is wrapped properly and securely within delivery vehicles
  • Complete all required Hours of Service regulations and present HOS logs electronically when checked
  • Safely and efficiently drive the scheduled route while providing exceptional customer service
  • Deliver product to the guest’s home following company policies and assemble product when required
  • Notify and reconcile any discrepancies with Delivery Completion Data personnel after each delivery
  • Abide by all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations concerning commercial truck drivers
