Transportation is a pillar for any supply chain, and at DHL Supply Chain you are a part of everyday life. A storm or the breakdown of a truck shouldn’t stop customer products from reaching the consumer. All members of the transportation team ensure the supply chain doesn’t break.

Ensure effective coordination of inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle service activities between carrier and consignment locations. Build and validate daily load plans through EFMS, Topex, or TMS systems while honoring principal carrier selections.

Communicate frequently with internal teams including DHL Supply Chain transportation, customer support, and operations. Coordinate with external parties such as carriers and client transportation groups to maintain consistency in direction and expectations.

Identify continuous improvement opportunities that enhance financial performance and service levels. The organization offers a business casual environment focused on teamwork, associate development, and training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
0-3 years of logistics industry experience

Responsibilities

Build and validate daily load plans through EFMS, Topex, or TMS systems while expediting requests
Ensure carrier receipt of daily load tenders via 204, fax, or TMS equipment
Coordinate appointment acquisition to ensure adherence to customer delivery requirements
Communicate frequently with internal and external customers to maintain consistency in direction and expectations
Coordinate carrier pickup times and provide daily shipment plan to the distribution center
Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that improve financial performance and service levels
Identify compliance issues and propose remedies or action plans to the operations supervisor
Provide yard and shuttle service supervision
