Fleet Manager

Serve as the driver's supervisor and representative in Operations. Manage driver performance in identified categories while serving as the primary communication link to achieve optimum driver and customer satisfaction.

Act as the sole communications link covering load information, advances, purchase orders, maintenance coordination, performance counseling, and company news. Oversee the full fleet of tractors and drivers for strong results in on-time pickup and delivery, out-of-route miles, hours of service compliance, and cost control.

Interact daily with drivers, operations staff, and management via Qualcomm, telephone, and in-person contact. Maintain daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers while ensuring each driver understands customer and company expectations at dispatch.

Apply strong organizational ability and remain calm under pressure while handling multiple varied tasks. A college degree in business or five years of fleet management experience supports success in this role.
