About this role
Lignetics manufactures renewable consumer products from recycled sawdust, including wood pellets for home heating. The Supply Chain Analyst & Planner drives the SIOP process as a key analytical partner supporting capacity modeling for the company's highest-volume category.
This role operates the Coupa supply chain optimization platform to run models, execute scenario analyses, and translate outputs into recommendations. It builds and improves planning models while owning end-to-end production planning across pellet mills, log lines, and brick lines.
The position conducts weekly SKU demand alignment calls with the Heating Category Manager to update forecasts and manage inventory positioning at plant and micro-market levels. It balances production against sales forecasts while setting safety stock targets across multiple sites.
Working closely with the SIOP Manager and category teams, the analyst manages procurement for packaging materials and supports new product launches. The role requires analytical fluency with large datasets and emerging AI tools to surface supply chain opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skill set with comfort in data modeling, analysis, and optimization tools.
- Analytical fluency and comfort working with large data sets.
- Ability to leverage artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to build models and surface insights.
- Experience operating supply chain optimization platforms such as Coupa.
- Proficiency in scenario planning, capacity utilization modeling, and inventory optimization.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Coupa supply chain optimization platform, running models and scenario analyses while leveraging AI tools to enhance outputs.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve planning models to support capacity analysis and supply chain decision-making.
- Own end-to-end production planning for the Heating category across pellet mills, log lines, and brick lines.
- Conduct weekly SKU demand alignment calls in partnership with the Heating Category Manager to update forecasts and manage inventory.
- Set and maintain finished goods safety stock and reorder levels across all plants and DCs.
- Manage procurement and supply planning for bag film and cover bags, coordinating with vendors on purchase orders and deliveries.
- Partner with the Heating Category Manager on new product launches and communicate raw material needs with foresters.
- Perform weekly schedule attainment tracking and balance production against sales forecasts at the SKU level.
