BlueScope is an Australian-born global success story spanning 15 countries with over 16,500 people. The Port Kembla Manufacturing facility seeks multiple Logistics Planners for Road and Rail Operations in Supply Chain teams. These roles support NSW Processing & Logistics to deliver products reliably across road and rail networks.
You will execute transport plans using knowledge of logistics processes for safe, efficient movement of products to domestic destinations. Support both road and rail teams flexibly for variety and learning. Work nationally to ensure on-time customer deliveries in heavy industry.
Collaborate as main contact between carriers, dispatch points, and planning teams to facilitate continuous improvement. Coordinate with operations, transport, sales, and warehouse teams for efficient schedules. Monitor warehouse performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in Logistics and Scheduling in a Heavy Industry Environment
- Exposure to transport management and planning systems
- High level of communication skills
- Ability to operate under pressure as a team player
- Proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
- Flexibility to support both road and rail teams on an as needs basis
Responsibilities
- Act as main contact between carriers, dispatch points and planning teams, facilitating relationships that yield continuous improvement
- Work with operations and planning teams to monitor information and priorities, ensuring correct scheduling of products for road networks
- Execute transport plans at a national level and monitor warehouse performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including transport, sales and warehouse teams to coordinate efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules
- Use an analytical approach to deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the NSW Processing & Logistics function
- Support NSW Processing & Logistics team on a national level for reliable on-time product delivery via road and rail
