About this role

ATC is a global logistics, white-glove, and technical services specialist for data centers. For over 45 years, we’ve helped deliver Europe’s data centers safely, securely, and right the first time. The HGV Driver role in Slough supports specialist IT transport and relocations, as well as data center commissioning and decommissioning.

HGV Drivers collect and deliver products in line with agreed schedules, reporting to the Operations Manager throughout the day. They complete all digital and manual documentation, ensure customer service levels are maintained, and adhere to regulations including staff uniform and performance standards. Drivers follow routes, load and unload vehicles, and manage multiple customers on domestic and international runs.

Requirements

  • Full clean articulated (category C) driving licence
  • Digital Tachograph card
  • Up to date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) or Code 95 and refresher training
  • A minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience in the logistics industry
  • Experience in the logistics industry, including white glove services
  • Proven experience of working in a multinational logistics environment
  • Proven experience in European deliveries
  • Fluent English

Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver products in line with agreed schedules
  • Report to Operations Manager throughout the day
  • Complete all digital and manual documentation in line with company and client procedures
  • Ensure levels of customer service are maintained at all times
  • Follow route and time schedules as defined, and notify any changes immediately
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle and notify any issues immediately
  • Deal with and manage multiple customers' and suppliers' needs on domestic and international runs
  • Comply with all tachograph requirements as set out
