About this role
As the Supply Chain Manager for Ocean Spray Cranberries, you will be responsible for managing distribution activities for assigned facilities, including overseeing all aspects of receiving, operations planning, and transportation. You will manage supply chain budgets, direct plant receiving and transportation operations, and review master production plans to reduce costs while balancing productivity and inventory levels.
In a typical day, you will collaborate with supply chain teams to align business objectives, develop functional capabilities, and manage change processes when business conditions dictate. You will support local Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners to ensure adherence to budget, business processes, and procedures, while driving continuous improvement into plant activities with every touch point.
You will work closely with key leaders and functions in the corporate office to align on short and long-range production plans, execute short lead requests, and maintain a firm balance of plant capability versus requested deliverables. As a key member of the supply chain network, you will help develop functional capability across the system and ensure effective team development through setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
This role offers the opportunity to support and promote food safety and quality programs while building the necessary capability to flex the team, resources, and materials. You will also actively participate in and lead various community, charitable, and employee events and activities, contributing to a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management
- Previous experience with transportation and 3PL management
- Proven track record in leading multi-site Supply Chain operations
- Ability to effectively communicate on all levels of the organization
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Working knowledge of inventory management systems/software (SAP, Red Prairie, etc.)
- Analytical mind with strong math skills and excellent organizational and planning skills
