About this role
Sodexo is a people business, employing over half a million people worldwide and thousands here in Australia. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead and deliver a major, multi-year fleet procurement program covering buses and light vehicles.
In this role, you will drive total cost of ownership (TCO) value, safety and compliance, sustainability outcomes, and operational continuity through competitive sourcing and robust contracts. You will develop and execute a Fleet Category Strategy and Sourcing Plan aligned to business demand, fleet replacement cycles, safety standards, and ESG targets.
You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Operations, Fleet/Transport, HSE, Finance, Legal, Sustainability, and Commercial teams. Your work will involve building TCO models, establishing go-to-market models with multi-lot RFT/RFQ structures, and negotiating with OEMs, dealers, leasing/financiers, and service networks.

Requirements
- 7–10+ years in strategic procurement/category management with substantial fleet or heavy equipment sourcing experience
- Demonstrated delivery of large, complex tenders with multi-lot structures and multi-year frameworks
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with OEMs, leasing/finance, services, and accessories
- Proven track record in TCO modelling, scenario analysis, and leasing/finance evaluation
- Experience in supplier risk management, safety-critical supply chains, and performance governance
- Contract drafting experience working with Legal teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a major, multi-year fleet procurement program covering buses and light vehicles
- Develop and execute a Fleet Category Strategy and Sourcing Plan aligned to business demand, fleet replacement cycles, safety standards, and ESG targets
- Establish the go-to-market model with multi-lot RFT/RFQ, panels/frameworks, and catalogue agreements
- Build TCO models covering capex/lease, accessories, maintenance, tyres, residuals, and charging infrastructure
- Drive competitive sourcing and robust contracts to deliver TCO value, safety, compliance, and sustainability outcomes
- Manage supplier relationships with OEMs, dealers, leasing/financiers, body builders, fit-out providers, and service networks
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Fleet/Transport, HSE, Finance, Legal, and Sustainability
