About this role

Magnum Services is an established well cementing service company with a broad operational footprint in North America. The Bulk Driver - Class 1 operates and drives field equipment, transporting blended cement powder from the bulk plant to field locations. This role is considered safety-sensitive and reports to the Station Manager.

Daily responsibilities include offloading cement powder into field storage silos or cement pumpers during mixing operations. The driver also assists with rigging in and rigging down units, mixing and pumping, and cleanup on location. Maintaining pneumatic bulk equipment and performing shop maintenance on field equipment are key duties.

This role works closely with Greenhands and Operators, ensuring efficient handling of day-to-day operations. The driver communicates effectively with clients and internal departments including Sales and Dispatch. The work environment involves outdoor conditions, confined areas, and exposure to loud noises and vibration.

Magnum continues to develop and diversify, offering a unique blend of technical expertise and project execution excellence. The Bulk Driver 2 mentors Bulk Driver 1’s in obtaining their Class 1 license, fostering team development. Participation in training and development activities is expected.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on, 6 days off rotational schedule.
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Maintenance knowledge and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

  • Transport blended cement powder and other materials from the bulk plant to field locations.
  • Offload cement powder into field storage silos or cement pumpers during mixing operations.
  • Assist with rigging in and rigging down units, mixing and pumping, and cleanup on location.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in the vehicle at all times.
  • Maintain pneumatic bulk equipment to ensure efficient product delivery on site.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and perform shop maintenance on field equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments including Sales and Dispatch.
  • Mentor Bulk Driver 1’s in obtaining their Class 1 license.
