CRST The Transportation Solution's Dedicated Solutions division delivers service excellence to retailers and producers needing consistent, high-quality delivery. The Dedicated Fleet Manager ensures safe, efficient, and reliable service execution for assigned customer accounts. This role drives operational excellence through proactive communication and disciplined decision-making supporting service, utilization, and profitability.

Day-to-day responsibilities include managing daily driver and load activity while partnering closely with customers and internal teams. Oversee performance to meet safety, compliance, and on-time delivery goals. Monitor key indicators like service, utilization, and retention to implement corrective actions.

Lead and coach dedicated drivers to promote engagement, retention, and execution of service expectations. Foster collaborative customer relationships through regular communication and efficiency improvements. Collaborate with planning, maintenance, and leadership teams to resolve challenges and optimize resources.

Promote a safety-first culture ensuring DOT and HOS compliance. Identify process improvements enhancing efficiency, service quality, and driver satisfaction. Maintain flexibility for operations beyond standard hours to support service continuity and profitability goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in transportation or fleet operations with accountability for service and financial results
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Strong analytical skills for performance monitoring
  • Knowledge of DOT and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
  • Experience leading and developing driver teams
  • Ability to manage financial aspects like utilization and cost control

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and performance of dedicated drivers to ensure safety, compliance, and on-time delivery
  • Lead, coach, and support drivers to promote engagement, retention, and service execution
  • Foster collaborative relationships with customers through regular communication and efficiency improvements
  • Monitor and manage financial performance including driver pay, overtime, equipment utilization, and cost control
  • Promote safety-first culture ensuring adherence to DOT, HOS, company, and customer standards
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators such as service, utilization, and retention
  • Partner with planning, maintenance, and leadership teams to align operations and optimize resources
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, service quality, and driver satisfaction
