About this role

This role offers the chance to work independently, driving throughout the metropolitan area to deliver parts to customers. You will be the face of NAPA Auto Parts, building long-term relationships with the customers you serve while enjoying the freedom of being out on the open road rather than in an office or store all day.

Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering parts to customers with a focus on safety and reliability, picking up parts from vendors, and maintaining inventory in the stock room. You will also handle basic store housekeeping, maintain the delivery truck by adhering to safety checklists and ensuring cleanliness, and manage cash and credit transactions for parts and core returns.

You will thrive in a fast-moving, busy environment where no two days are the same. The team is focused on finding fixes for customers, and many drivers describe the company as a place where you may just find your second family, with flexible scheduling that works well for students or retirees.

Requirements

Minimum 18 years of age
Valid Driver's License
Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach to upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary
Stamina to stand and walk for entire work shift and lift up to 60 lbs of merchandise
Ability to handle cash and charge transactions correctly and process core/part returns appropriately
Clear speaking and attentive listening skills for customer interaction
Capability to drive throughout the metropolitan area using maps and directions
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Delivering parts to customers with a passion for developing relationships
Picking up parts from vendors and ensuring stock room parts are accurately stocked
Maintaining and checking inventory levels
Serving as a NAPA Brand Ambassador during customer deliveries
Maintaining the store delivery truck through adherence to safety checklists, keeping the vehicle clean, and checking basic maintenance like tire pressure
Handling cash and credit card transactions correctly and processing core/part returns appropriately
Performing basic store housekeeping and organizational projects
Inspecting, protecting, and maintaining company assets, merchandise, vehicles, building, and people
