About this role

This Senior Supply Chain Manager role provides strategic leadership and oversight for the entire supply chain function at Sierra Nevada Corporation. You will develop and implement supply chain strategies, optimize processes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with the company’s long-term vision and objectives.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the development and execution of supply chain strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. You will mentor a high-performing team, cultivate strong supplier relationships, and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate disruptions.

This position is within the ISR, Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area, a leader in manned and unmanned aircraft systems integration and end-to-end C4ISR capabilities. The team tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements, consistently exceeding expectations with on-time and on-budget deliveries.

You will work in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes, driving supply chain excellence through advanced technologies and innovative solutions. This role offers the opportunity to partner with senior leadership and program management to shape cohesive supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 11+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain principles, and advanced contract management.
  • Has industry knowledge and best practices.
  • Highly proficient with developing and presenting business case materials to all levels of the organization.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Commodity, Category and Sourcing Management.
  • Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Partner with senior leadership, program management, and other departments to ensure cohesive supply chain operations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to drive supply chain visibility and achievement of goals.
  • Manage the preparation and execution of capital, contract equipment, and facility budgets to support business needs.
