AtkinsRéalis is engineering a better future for our planet and its people. We are hiring a Project Procurement Manager to oversee and coordinate procurement activities for major projects in the Greater Toronto Area, ensuring compliance with policies, timelines, and budgets.

Day-to-day, you will lead and mentor a procurement team, develop sourcing strategies aligned with project objectives, and oversee tendering and award processes. You'll collaborate with engineering, project controls, and construction teams to forecast procurement needs and mitigate risks.

As a team lead, you'll allocate workload, monitor progress, and ensure high performance and professional development of procurement specialists. The environment involves fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project work with adherence to public sector procurement regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of procurement experience, including leadership roles in major rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP tools.
  • Experience with GTA and Canadian supply chain, suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Allocate workload and monitor progress to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and public sector guidelines.
  • Oversee sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and award processes for materials, equipment, and services specific to major rail and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project controls, client and construction teams to forecast procurement needs and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to public procurement regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies; maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Track procurement KPIs, cost savings, and schedule adherence; prepare regular reports for project leadership and client representatives.
