About this role
Manage all purchasing activities related to incoming ingredients and materials in a hybrid role. Oversee planning and scheduling for packaging lines, processing equipment, tank farms, and incoming oils. Coordinate manufacturing and supply planning to maintain finished goods inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery while minimizing storage costs.
Support Production Schedulers in developing the weekly production plan using forecasted needs, customer orders, and labor availability. Work to maximize line efficiency and minimize inventory balance. Establish and optimize planning processes through scheduling methods and innovative solutions with HQ Supply Chain staff.
Coordinate with Sales, HQ Planning, and Oil Trading on supply and demand management. Support Operations Coordinators on Demand Management, Capacity Constraints, and New Product Introductions while managing customer issues through Customer Service. Manage incoming material requirements to keep inventory levels optimized and healthy.
Advocate for safety within the facility and follow all safety procedures along with company policies on allergens and koshering. Receive a strong foundation of training from a manager who cares about your success in a safe environment with challenging work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or closely related field required (or equivalent relevant experience).
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proven track record of implementation of processes leading to excellence and improving cost metrics through MRP planning, JIT, Kaizen, and similar techniques.
- Ability to travel 10%.
- Knowledge of material flow within manufacturing environment is essential (systems and physical processes).
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form using electronic media, telephone, and direct contact.
- APICS, CPPM, or CSCP certification is preferred.
- Supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
Responsibilities

- Advocate for safety within the facility and follow all safety procedures and company policies pertaining to allergens and koshering.
