About this role
Misfits Market is a mission-driven, high-growth startup dedicated to reducing food waste and making sustainable groceries more affordable. As a Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for scheduling weekly outbound truck lanes and coordinating with operations to ensure successful load out and timely departure.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with carrier and 3PL partners to drive performance through data and KPIs, monitoring on-time delivery and damages. You will also assist in managing weekly and monthly expenses, correcting discrepancies with accounts payable.
This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with operations teams and carrier partners. You will play an integral role in expanding our 3PL business vertical, helping build business processes and managing the supply chain for future growth.
By tackling inefficiencies in the food system, you will help save an average of 500,000 pounds of food per week from waste. This position offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement within Misfits Market's supply chain and support a critical business venture for the company.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional experience, preferably in logistics or operations
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort with data
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with supply chain processes
- Problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking skills
- A team player attitude
Responsibilities
- Assist with weekly scheduling of outbound trucks leaving and injecting around various points around the country to meet delivery SLAs
- Work closely with carrier and 3PL partners to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery, driving performance through data and KPIs
- Monitor and report key performance indicators such as on-time delivery and damages on a weekly and monthly basis
- Work with cross-functional teams to support the seamless flow of deliveries from fulfillment center to customer
- Support operations teams in growing the 3PL business and ensure KPIs are hit and tracked
- Assist in managing weekly and monthly expenses and work with accounts payable to correct discrepancies
