About this role
This seasonal role with Knife River runs from April through November, offering winters off while retaining benefits year-round. As an Aggregate Delivery Driver, you will operate commercial dump trucks to transport aggregate materials to job sites safely and efficiently, often on uneven or unfinished surfaces.
Daily duties include inspecting trucks for defects before and after trips, maintaining driver logs, and performing equipment maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and checking brakes and lights. You may operate a loader to load aggregate into the truck box and ensure loads are properly tarped, with spilled material cleaned promptly.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Class B CDL (minimum); Class A CDL preferred.
- Must have and maintain a medical card and acceptable driving record with required endorsements.
- Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision, recognizing matters needing attention.
- Ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteously and respectfully toward others.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A or B end dump truck to transport aggregate to job sites, often driving on uneven or unfinished surfaces.
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
- Maintain driver log according to ICC regulations as required.
- Operate loader to load aggregate into truck box when needed.
- Perform daily maintenance such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, and checking brakes, lights, and other instructed tasks.
- Tarp loads when needed and clean spilled material/buildup off the box and spill chutes.
- Complete load tickets and maintain proper information in the truck cab pouch.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, and other safety and environmental regulations; attend required training.
