Are you an experienced Transport Manager looking to use your skills in a fast-paced environment? Join the leadership team at Copart, the biggest global vehicle remarketing company. This role is at the York Operation Centre, operating Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekend or bank holiday working.

Lead and coach the transport team to meet company and customer expectations. Ensure compliance and efficient management of the transport function. Hold a CPC (National or International) and be named as the principal Operator’s Licence holder.

Work cross-functionally, building relationships across the Operation Centre and wider business. Drive operational service in line with service level agreements alongside the General Manager. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by challenging the norm.

Recruit, induct, and develop the transport team to succeed and grow. Maintain legal and regulatory compliance for fleet vehicles and drivers, including Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive. Support from the Regional Transport Manager ensures performance is not hindered.

Requirements

Demonstrable people management and leadership experience
CPC (National or International) and full UK Driving Licence
Customer service focused for internal and external customers
Positive, can-do attitude to motivate and engage teammates
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate and familiar with computerised transport management systems
Proactive and flexible approach with ability to use initiative
