About this role

Hayley Dexis, the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables in the UK, has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Warehouse Assistant to support the busy team at our branch in Poole. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

A typical day involves unloading stock from deliveries, shelving it correctly, picking and counting stock for orders, and preparing them for dispatch. You will also undertake regular stock takes and drive to multiple customer sites to replenish vending machine and consignment stock.

Our new, purpose-built 5,000sq. ft. warehouse in Poole provides a modern environment for this brand new role. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who are driven to learn new skills and comfortable working on site and travelling.

On-the-job training and job shadowing will be provided, along with opportunities for career progression. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 16:00, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Valid UK driving license – essential
Basic computer skills
Good team player
Good communication skills
Experience of working in a similar warehouse environment would be beneficial

Responsibilities

Unload stock from deliveries and shelve it correctly
Pick and count stock for orders
Prepare orders for dispatch
Undertake regular stock takes
Pick and count relevant stock including PPE, tools, and consumables
Drive to multiple customer sites to replenish vending machine and consignment stock
Support the team with ad-hoc warehouse duties as needed
