This role manages and coordinates logistics activities across Africa, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of supply chain support to National Societies and Movement partners. The Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator supports strategic partnerships to enhance emergency responses and preparedness while promoting locally led response initiatives that foster transformative partnerships aligned with priority investment areas.

Working closely with National Societies, British Red Cross teams, and movement partners, this role coordinates logistics operations. It focuses on designing and implementing effective supply chain solutions that empower locally led responses and optimize operational impact. Daily tasks include managing procurement and ensuring efficient delivery of resources.

This position is based within the International Directorate and collaborates with various stakeholders across Africa. It operates in a humanitarian context, supporting emergency response efforts and building local capacity alongside dedicated professionals committed to transformative partnerships and locally led initiatives.

The Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator contributes to impactful humanitarian work that strengthens National Societies. Requirements

  • Experience in supply chain and logistics management, preferably within humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including National Societies and movement partners.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage logistics across multiple countries in Africa.
  • Understanding of emergency response and preparedness frameworks.
  • Familiarity with locally led response approaches and partnership development.
  • Proficiency in relevant logistics software and tools.

  • Ensure efficient procurement and delivery of resources to support humanitarian operations.
