About this role

GXO Logistics is seeking full-time, permanent Class 2 Drivers to join our team in Sherburn in Elmet. As a market-leading company, we offer fantastic benefits and a supportive environment for experienced HGV drivers looking for a change.

On a typical day, you will deliver and collect goods to and from various customer stores nationwide. You will operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while completing all necessary paperwork correctly, in full, and on time.

You will be contracted to work 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of any 5 days out of 7, with a start time window between 06:00 and 07:00. Compliance with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations is essential to succeed in this role.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
No more than 6 current penalty points
No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable
Ability to work any 5 days out of 7 with a start time between 06:00 and 07:00

Responsibilities

Deliver and collect goods to and from various customer stores nationwide
Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time
Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations
Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues
Load and unload goods as required, ensuring secure stowage
