About this role

We're looking for an HGV Driver to join our team at Copart, based near East Kilbride. The role involves loading, collecting, and delivering accident-damaged vehicles, often requiring physical effort in both rural and urban environments.

Drivers must comply with legal and company standards while performing vehicle inspections and reporting any issues. The full-time Monday to Friday schedule provides a strong work-life balance with no bank holiday work required.

Copart is a global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, partnering with insurance companies, banks, and automotive businesses. The position demands adaptability to organise and adjust your working day as collections vary.

No transporter experience is necessary. We provide three weeks of one-on-one training plus ongoing CPC training. Drivers holding a Cat C licence can upskill to C+E after completing probation.

Requirements

HGV Licence Class 1 & Class 2
Current CPC
Good understanding of the EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations
Driving experience in both rural and urban environments
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent customer service skills
Strong attention to detail
Confident in the use of handheld devices and basic IT applications

Responsibilities

Load, collect, and deliver accident-damaged vehicles
Perform vehicle inspections and report any issues
Comply with legal and company standards for HGV operations
Maintain a good understanding of EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations
Use handheld devices and basic IT applications to manage daily collections
Adapt and organise your working day to meet collection targets
