About this role

The Materials Coordinator/Supply Chain Analyst performs supply chain and logistics functions including material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, price negotiation, and distribution. This role develops and implements detailed scenarios while identifying trends. It leads proficiency evaluations of inventories to maintain operational efficiency.

Daily tasks involve creating integrated processes among internal functions like operations, procurement, and logistics, as well as outside suppliers. Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled. Generate, maintain, and track material and part requirements for continued support of deployed systems and products.

Prepare materials requisitions and maintain materials database along with inventory required by engineering drawings. Provide information for tracking and storage of government furnished equipment. Assure customer information and support requirements and schedules are met through collaborative efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military supply experience or four years of inventory/supply experience
  • Primary responsibilities within the Supply Chain and Logistics Function as a generalist or in a combination of various managerial disciplines
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level
  • Top Secret/SCI eligibility
  • Experience in material procurement and inventory control
  • Knowledge of vendor selection and price negotiation

Responsibilities

  • Perform supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, price negotiation and distribution
  • Develop and implement detailed scenarios and identify trends
  • Lead activities for proficiency evaluations of inventories
  • Create integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, procurement and logistics) and outside suppliers
  • Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled
  • Generate, maintain, and track material and part requirements to ensure continued support of deployed systems and/or products
  • Prepare materials requisition
  • Maintain materials database and inventory required by engineering drawings
