About this role

The Materials & Supply Chain Coordinator plans, tracks, and coordinates materials from project initiation through delivery for electric utility capital projects. This includes transmission, substation, and large load projects. The role partners closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, and external vendors to ensure timely orders and aligned delivery schedules.

Develop material delivery timelines by working backward from in-service dates and construction start milestones. Monitor long lead materials and lead times to align orders with construction schedules. Track purchase orders, confirmed dates, and delivery status using SAP or other enterprise systems.

Coordinate deliveries to job sites, laydown yards, or utility storage facilities. Serve as primary point of contact for vendors on delivery schedules, updates, and issue resolution. Support discussions related to schedule changes or delays across teams.

Identify material risks early and communicate impacts to Project Management, Engineering, and Construction teams. Provide regular material status updates and reporting to support project execution. Travel to client offices and project sites as required.

This position allows for a hybrid arrangement with a mix of work from home and in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting material coordination, logistics, or supply chain activities for utility, construction, or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for tracking purchase orders and material status
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, materials, and vendors concurrently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, and supply chain teams
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors
  • Comfortable with approximately 10-25% domestic travel
