About this role

As Transport Manager, you will ensure a best-in-class regional estates function that fully satisfies internal and contractual requirements. Transport Management provides a critical vehicle fleet supporting the recruiting operation, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and operationally functional.

You will coordinate all servicing, maintenance, and repair for a fleet of 300 vehicles, notifying users of collection dates in advance. You will also review Vehicle Due Replacement notifications, process transport request forms, and report Road Traffic Collisions to the Data Impact Cell.

Leading a small team with one direct report, you will conduct managerial inspections to assure policy and process under current governance. This full-time, permanent role is based onsite in Upavon, working 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Fleet management experience
  • Management/Team Leader experience
  • Ability to organise and prioritise within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge/Experience in MOD White Fleet transport management
  • Experience in managing MOD Software Clarity
  • Experience of MOD White Fleet regulations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all servicing, maintenance, and repair for the vehicle fleet of 300 vehicles, ensuring users are notified of vehicle collection dates in advance
  • Review Vehicle Due Replacement Notifications reports to consider further use or changes to vehicle type where required
  • Process transport request forms
  • Process and report all Road Traffic Collisions (RTC) to the Data Impact Cell
  • Conduct managerial inspections to ensure assurance of policy and process under current governance and regulations
  • Lead a small team with one direct report
