About this role
This role ensures smooth and timely customs process flow for import and export shipments. As a Customer Service Representative in Customs Brokerage, you will be the key link between clients and customs authorities, responsible for accurate data entry, tracking and tracing customs files, and ensuring timely client billing.
Daily tasks include transferring customs declaration information into the entry system and verifying data for submission to customs authorities. You will also assist with compliance to regulations and support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and identifying gaps.

Requirements
- Understanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plus.
- Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly to obtain positive results.
- Strong desire to learn, with a particular interest in data analytics, AI, automation, and process improvement.
- Good computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow for import and export shipments.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operational system.
- Track and trace customs files and generate reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing.
- Transfer customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system to build valid declarations.
- Assist with verification of customs declaration information and submission to customs authority.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending efficiency improvements.
- Participate in AI and automation initiatives, including identifying repetitive tasks for automation and supporting AI-enabled tools.
