About this role

This role focuses on customs brokerage operations for both sea and air freight shipments. You will manage end-to-end documentation and coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and airlines to ensure smooth cargo movement.

Day-to-day tasks include arranging bookings, preparing shipping instructions and bills of lading, verifying customs declarations, and monitoring shipment status. You will also handle cross-border shipments and resolve operational issues such as documentation errors or space availability problems.

You will coordinate with regional teams in the USA, Europe, and Asia to resolve vessel space issues under the Goodyear bidding process. Collaboration with airlines and service providers is essential to maintain efficient air freight operations.

This position offers exposure to global logistics networks and the opportunity to develop expertise in customs clearance procedures. Working with a leading logistics provider, you will build skills in both sea and air freight documentation and problem-solving.

Requirements

University degree in logistics or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in Customs Clearance (Air import/export) field
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and external partners
Computer literacy including proficiency in standard office software
Knowledge of customs documentation and shipping procedures
Familiarity with sea freight and air freight operations

Responsibilities

Arrange and manage bookings with shipping lines and freight forwarders
Prepare and submit Shipping Instructions (SI) and Verified Gross Mass (VGM) to shipping lines
Prepare House Bill of Lading (HBL) / Bill of Lading (BL) and verify accuracy of BL documents
Verify and confirm customs declaration documents and tax invoices
Monitor import and export shipment status and provide updates to customers
Coordinate cross-border shipments, including third-country shipments
Resolve operational issues such as documentation errors or space availability problems
Coordinate with regional teams (USA, Europe, Asia) to resolve vessel space issues under the Goodyear bidding process
