About this role

As a Customs Broker at Cencora, you will be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of exports and imports through meticulous customs formalities. You will manage shipments from initial routing to final delivery, working with a variety of transport models including air, road, and rail.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include editing and maintaining jobs in WorldStar, performing routing checks, and ordering drivers for pickups and deliveries. You will monitor shipments during transport, react flexibly to any deviations from the plan, and continuously check notes and preadvised shipments in the system.

You will work closely with national and international World Courier stations and agents, building and maintaining relationships with contractors, transporters, airlines, handling agents, customs, and government agencies. The role requires strict adherence to regulations such as ADR, DGR, and IATA, as well as relevant laws and ordinances.

Requirements

Declarant licensed (certificate) required
Ability to work securely with all pertinent regulations (ADR / DGR / IATA) as well as relevant laws and ordinances
Experience with customs formalities including export/import permits, export customs paperwork, and electronic customs declarations
Proficiency in using technical tools such as WorldStar, OpStar, Atlas, and Flight Monitor
Knowledge of transport documentation per GGVS / ADR / IATA-DGR
Ability to perform preconditioning and pre-placement of packaging materials and cooling media
Experience with marking and labelling of shipments as per regulations
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Edits and maintains jobs (exports/imports) in WorldStar and performs routing checks for different transport models (airplane, car, train)
Orders drivers for delivery and pickup of shipments at EUL-offices and freight companies
Checks collected and received shipments in the office and prepares them for EUL-route books and preadvises shipments
Monitors shipments during transport and reacts flexibly to any deviation from the plan
Checks planned departure or arrival times of flights (Post Flight Check) and handles preadvised shipments
Carries out all customs formalities (export/import) including documentation, determination of customs/taxes, and electronic declarations via ATLAS/NCTS
Manages the sorting area including packaging, supplies, and cooling media
Communicates with national and international World Courier stations and agents, and builds relationships with contractors and government agencies
